1990 graduated from Medical School at the University of Bern, 1990 doctoral degree. 1991-1998 residencies in internal medicine (Zieglerspital Bern; Inselspital Bern; McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada; University Hospital Basel); 1998 «Master of Science in Health Research Methodology» (McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada); 1998 specialist diploma in Internal Medicine.
1999-2001 family doctor in the HMO St. Alban, and from 1999-2002 project management in medical education (University of Basel, University of Fribourg). From 2003 on in private practice. 2003 medical director of the Hildegard Hospiz, Basel. Various teaching assignments, e.g., at the Bethesda Hospital and the SBK (Swiss Nursing Association). Group and single supervision. Consulting for the SGB (Swiss association of the deaf).
2009 degree in psychosomatic and psychosocial medicine (SAPPM).
Postgraduate trainings in systemic therapy, resource oriented therapy, short time therapy, psycho-oncology, palliative care, non-violent communication (NVC, Marshall Rosenberg), Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, energy work, trauma therapy, empathetic communication (Jacques Salomé), TIPI coach, Wingwave coach, shamanic healing ceremonies.
