Wingwave is an approved coaching method to reduce (performance)stress and to enhance creativity and personal stability in conflict situations. This method combines the essentials from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is a recognized trauma therapy. The idea is to induce REM-phases (Rapid Eye Movement), which normally only occur while we are sleeping and dreaming, in a client who is awake. Thus we can process stressful life events, that so far have not been processed sufficiently during nightly sleep and are therefore interfering with daily life. Mostly it is done by waving in front of the clients’ eyes and he/she has to follow with their eyes. So the stress-reaction is literally “waved away”.
Wingwave can be used for:
• getting rid of phobias and fears, such as exam nerves, fear of flying, stage fright, arachnophobia, fear of dental treatments
• reducing strain on the body by treating sleeplessness, jetlag or tiredness
• overcoming relationship strains in the family, with the spouse, or in another relationship
• coping with interpersonal disappointments or verbal abuse
